Green Key label

Our bed & breakfast is currently in the process of obtaining the Green Key label.

Many actions are being taken to limit the impact of our bed & breakfast on the environment. Some of them concern us all…

We invite you to take part in our sustainable approach by following these simple ecogestures.

Towels & sheets

  • Leave towels to be changed on the floor and hang up those to be reused. One unwashed towel = 6L of water saved (and fewer detergent products).
  • We provide drying racks so you can dry your clothes naturally.
  • We only change sheets on request, except for stays of more than 7 days (in which case the sheets will be changed halfway through the stay).

Cleaning

  • Your room is cleaned every day between 10am and 4pm.
  • If you don’t find it necessary to have your room cleaned on a daily basis, simply inform us and we’ll adapt the cleaning frequency.

Purchase

  • Whenever possible, use seasonal produce. This means respecting the seasonal cycle, the ecosystem and natural sunlight.
  • Let’s contribute to the local economy by always choosing quality products from our region. This minimises transport and promotes our local producers.
  • Our P’tite épicerie offers a range of home-made products as well as a selection of products from local producers.
  • Use a reusable shopping bag.

Energy

  • Turn off the heating or air conditioning if you open a window.
  • Turn off the lights and television while you’re away.
  • Don’t leave electronic devices on prolonged charge (for instance mobile phone chargers).
  • Close windows while you are away.
  • Close the doors behind you. Draughts waste energy.

Water

  • Let’s use water rationally in the bathroom.
  • Don’t let the tap run unnecessarily. Save around 30 litres of water by turning off the water when soaping up.
  • Use a glass of water when brushing your teeth.
  • Report any water leaks. Every suspicious drop can be reported.

Waste

  • Return used batteries to the reception. Don’t throw them in the waste bin.
  • Sort your waste. Use the two 3-compartment recycling bins (disposable, packaging & paper, glass, organic waste) in the entrance hall and on the covered terrace.
  • Leave the Nespresso capsules in the coffee machine so that they can be recovered and recycled more easily.
  • Compost peelings and green waste.
  • You can give us your food scraps. We’ll feed them to the chickens.
