A day on the pilgrims’ route
Start your day’s excursion with a delicious breakfast on the terrace of our bed & breakfast before heading to Martel, a village recently awarded the “Plus Beaux Villages de France” label. Explore its picturesque streets, visit the market square (la halle) and stroll through the charming shops and restaurants.
Don’t miss the chance to take a ride on Martel’s steam train, the Truffadou, which offers breathtaking views over the Dordogne valley.
For lunch, treat yourself to a gastronomic lunch at the Saveurs des Halles restaurant, ideally located in the heart of Martel.
You can then head off to Rocamadour, one of France’s most popular tourist destinations, famous for its statue of the Black Madonna. Park your car at L’Hospitalet and walk slowly down the Way of the Cross, admiring the beauty of the chapel. Take a moment of prayer and treat yourself to an ice cream as you stroll along Rocamadour’s main street.
Finally, visit the Forêt des singes, where you can observe and discover the fascinating society of 150 Barbary macaques living in conditions similar to those in the wild.

Tom nous a accueilli comme des amis dans son établissement. C'est un homme charmant, intéressant, très doué en cuisine, … More et aux petits soins pour ses hôtes.
La chambre est moderne, très agréable à vivre, fraiche en été à l'intérieur de ces murs en pierres, avec une terrasse. Nous y avons séjourné avec notre chienne, et tout était fait également pour son bien-être.
Le site possède une belle piscine, sauna, jacuzzi, terrain de pétanque... et se situe à quelques minutes de Turenne et de Collonges-la-Rouge, vraiment top pour visiter ces beaux villages.
Merci encore pour ces quelques jours, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dès que possible ! Continuez Tom, pour que d'autres hôtes puissent vivre ce que nous avons vécu ! -
